Nefarious plot
At the state prison, Dr. James Martin replaces a psychiatrist who committed suicide after evaluating notorious serial killer Edward Wayne Brady. Martin must determine whether Brady is mentally fit to be executed. Brady claims to be possessed by a demon named Nefarious and predicts three murders by the end of the day. As Martin uncovers Brady’s delusions, he becomes caught up in a dark game.
In a confusing twist, Martin signs off on Brady’s execution and claims it is Martin’s third murder. As Brady faces the electric chair, Martin rejects a terrible offer. A year later, Martin published a cautionary tale about demonic temptations, encountering a homeless woman who appears to be possessed by Brady’s malevolent spirit.
