Ranganayaki, the matriarch of a wealthy family, faces many misfortunes, including a tragic plane crash involving her daughter. “Chandramukhi 2” holds a special place for many as a nostalgic theater experience. However, the sequel falls short due to the mediocrity that is clearly visible from the trailer.
The film begins with a large family going to the temple to uncover the secrets related to Chandramukhi. Despite the talented cast, the poor cinematography and writing disappoints. The execution lacks the magic of the original, leaving fans wondering why.
The locations and flashbacks are commendable, the film could have succeeded with a different theme. As a standalone, it’s passable, but compared to the iconic prequel, it doesn’t fit right. Nice try, but not up to Chandramukhi standards.
