Following the Woodsboro murders, Blackmore University professor Laura Crane is captured and murdered by her student Jason Carvey, dressed in a Ghostface costume. Sam and Tara Carpenter, now living in New York, become the targets of a new Ghostface. The sisters, along with other survivors, discover a Ghostface shrine in an abandoned theater.
